History
Tradebe is a global company from Barcelona, leader in the environmental sector serving several markets, including the industrial, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, etc.
Tradebe owns a concession in the Port of Barcelona since 1991 to collection and treatment the full range of Marpol waste from vessels: Marpol I, II, IV, V and VI
In 2019 Tradebe Port of Barcelona carried out the construction of a barge with a capacity of 230m3 for liquid waste, without limitation as regards its FP, and 36m3 for solid waste. Trademar is a barge certified for the collection of MARPOL waste Annexes I, II, IV, V & VI.
One filling of the Trademar barge is equivalent to 15-18 road tanker services, which helps free the streets around the Port of Barcelona of road traffic, in turn contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions from the port area.
For more than two years now (June 2019) Tradebe Port de Barcelona has had the ISCC Plus Certificate for Tradebe Green Fuel (TGF), a fuel obtained from oily waste from ships (MARPOL, Annex I).
Given the current stage of transformation of the economic model, we can see that the linear economy model that has been dominant until now is giving way to the concept and model of circular economy, as a new way of generating economic, environmental and social value, in a responsible and environmentally sustainable way.
