This network, comprising a port authority, local authorities and tourism companies, facilitates communication with both shipping companies and passengers by bringing together information from different sources and facilitating any formalities that may be necessary.
Saint-Cyr, Bandol, Sanary, Le Lavandou, Ports of Toulon Bay (Toulon and La-Seyne-sur-Mer), Cavalaire, St-Tropez, Fréjus, St-Raphaël.
It is a single point of contact that promotes the Var area as a major touristic destination for cruise passengers, as well as its 9 cruise ports located in both Provence and Côte d’Azur.
To achieve its goals, the VPCC works closely with both cruise industry professionals (cruise lines, tour operators)…local stakeholders (Var General Council, Toulon Provence Meditérranée Metropolis, tourist offices, shopkeepers…) and the Commerce department of the Var Chamber of Commerce. The VPCC has a strong track record in working with local authorities, an expertise in business development and a perfect knowledge of the Var Provence area and its touristic assets. 2019’s forecast announces 200 calls and 200 386 passengers expected. Var Provence is unavoidable : a destination not to be missed in all itineraries of the western Med.
