First call for Queen Anne Cruise Ship at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Last Sunday, 19th May, the cruise ship Queen Anne from the Cunard Line made its first stop at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, consigned by Hamilton y Cía. The ship embarked on its maiden voyage from Southampton with 2,996 passengers and 1,225 crew members on board. A plaque was presented by the President of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Port Authority, Mr. Pedro Suárez López de Vergara, with attendance from the Commercial team of the Port Authority: Ms. Luz Marina Espiau – Head of Commercial and Business Development, and Ms. Mónica Jarque; from the Press Department, the Head of Communication of APSCT, Ms. Eva Padrón. Representing the consignee, the Branch Manager of Hamilton y Cía, Mr. Guillermo de Ponte Machado and Ms. Ahinoa Aguirre from the Operations Department was also present.

Cunard was the first company to offer regular transatlantic service as well as voyages around the globe. They have continually refined and enhanced the luxury ocean travel experience, and in keeping with the spirit they have always embodied, they announce the name of the new ship that will join their renowned fleet.

Set to sail in 2024, the Queen Anne will be Cunard’s 249th ship.

This will be the first time since 1999 that the company will have four ships in operation, and with the Queen Anne, they complete a luxury fleet that now honours the names of each reigning British queen over the last millennium.
