History
The Terres de l’Ebre region, situated at the mouth of the Ebro River in the Iberian Peninsula, offers a diverse landscape between the sea and the Els Ports Natural Park. It reflects a blend of cultures, including the Moors, Jews, and Christians, and boasts natural treasures like the Ebro Delta Natural Park, beaches, and mountains of Els Ports Natural Park. Covering 367,729 hectares with a population of 190,000, it is a haven for outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, and kayaking. Recognized as a Biosphere Reserve in 2013, it showcases a rich cultural and natural heritage, providing unique experiences away from the typical tourist destinations.
Philosophy
Delta Ebre Port works with international port and commercial companies in the tourism sector (business associations, hotel and restaurants, cultural associations, etc.) to improve the range of tourism choices in southern Catalonia and adapt them to the needs of cruise ships stopping over here.
