The 2025 cruise season in the ports of the Central Adriatic Ports Authority is ready to sail. The port of Ancona will launch the season on Sunday, April 13th, welcoming MS Hamburg from Plantours Cruises for its maiden call at the Doric port. This marks the beginning of the summer cruise schedule, featuring 41 cruise calls from April through November.
The beginning of MSC Cruises, the company that confirms its leading role in the season with 28 scheduled calls at the port of Ancona, will take place on April 18th. In addition, Explora I, the ultra-luxury ship from Explora Journeys, will return to Ancona on May 17th. Built with cutting-edge environmental technologies, this symbol of Italian craftsmanship continues to redefine luxury cruising.
This season also welcomes an exciting presence of cruise operators, including Marella Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Ponant, Regent Seven Seas, Viking, Noble Caledonia. In particular, four ships will be making their maiden call in Ancona: Caledonian Sky, Le Dumont D’Urville and Viking Star, alongside MS Hamburg.
The 2024 season saw a remarkable +19% increase in cruise passengers, fostering Ancona’s appeal as a top Adriatic destination. Visitors enjoyed a range of excursions, from the Ancona Walking Tour to breathtaking regional attractions such as the Frasassi Caves, Conero Riviera, Urbino, and San Marino, along with popular wine tours in local wineries.
The ports of Pesaro and Ortona will welcome 14 calls from Grand Circle Cruise Line, a leader in Adriatic and Mediterranean luxury voyages. The season in Pesaro will kick off with Artemis on April 9th, followed by its arrival in Ortona on April 10th .
