Since July 12th, Bastia and North Corsica ports welcome on a regular basis, cruise calls from 2 French companies: Ponant with “Le Lyrial” and “L’Austral” and Croisieurope with “La Belle des Océans”.
Departing from Nice, both cruise lines have proposed to their French guests only, exclusive 7 days routes around the island including calls in Bastia, L’Ile-Rousse, Calvi and Saint Florent.
Some days, the port of Bastia has the great pleasure to welcome Lyrial and La Belle des Océans simultaneously, as it occured on October 8th, for a sunny double call.
By the end of this first summer season post lockdown, Bastia and North Corsica ports will have welcomed 63 cruise calls for approximately 6 000 guests. This is a first positive step for local economy, such as a positive signal for the next few years.
