The Cruise Excellence Awards will take place on the 15th February in Cartagena for the third consecutive year. This will be the XI Edition.
The ceremony will bring together, as previously, the main executives of cruise lines, cruise operators, ship agents, ports and destinations, travel agents, press, service providers and professionals.
The Cruise Excellence Awards are the result of a macro survey given to national cruise passengers. This fact gives a special value to the results.
More than 300 attendees will fill the auditorium of the Paraninfo and enjoy a exclusive gala on its eleventh edition. Previous editions were held in Barcelona, Malaga, Bilbao and Palma de Majorca.
This edition is promoted by Cartagena Port Authority and Cartagena City Council and sponsored by Official Murcia Region Tourist Site, the Asociación de Empresarios de Actividades Marítimas (ASEAM) de Cartagena, touristic train Almirante, Sureste Incoming, Cruises Atlantic Islands, Agencia Marítima Blazquez Cruises, and Cruises Friend Shop.
The city of Cartagena is enjoying significant development within the sector, due to the consolidation of the Port of Cartagena as one of the Spanish destinations that have seen rapid growth in recent years. In 2016, Cartagena debuted as a cruise embarkation port and in 2017 inaugurated a new access to the cruise terminal that has been expanded and remodeled. For 2018 there are 140 cruise calls expected and more than 200.000 passengers.
The winners will be awarded in these categories:
- Best Spanish Port
