Dubrovnik port authority 17th of September, 2013 celebrated arrival of its millionth passenger in 2013. By this date Dubrovnik Port – Gruž welcomed 313.258 passengers from domestic lines and 686.742 from international lines and cruises.
Millionth passenger arrived to Dubrovnik port – Gruž 15 days earlier than a year before. It is significantly that millionth passenger arrived on a vessel owned by Croatian shipping company Jadrolinija connecting Dubrovnik with the most northern Croatian port – Rijeka. Dubrovnik Port Authority general manager Mr. Antun Asić pointed out importance of connecting Dubrovnik with the rest of Croatia by ferry lines, same as implementing EU standards and regulations that will contribute to a development of a domestic ferry new image.
Dubrovnik as a destination for the first time this year is expecting to welcome millionth passenger from cruise vessels.
