Seabourn Ovation visited Dubrovnik Port on its inaugural cruise sailing from Venice to Barcelona on May 7, 2018. The new 604-guest Seabourn Ovation was delivered on April 27 at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Sestri (Genoa). The Ovation is a sister ship to the luxury Seabourn Encore, which was also built by Fincantieri and entered service in 2016. The new ship is 40,350 gross tons, 211 meters long and 28 meters wide and is able to reach a cruising speed of 18.6 knots. Representatives of Dubrovnik Port Authority exchanged presents and plaques with Ship Master Capt. Stig Betten during a welcome ceremony onboard. Seabourn Ovation will call Dubrovnik destination once again on November 5 at the Old Port Anchorage.
