Goulette Shipping Cruise La Goulette Cruise Terminal (Tunisia) has made a pretty good cruise season in 2013. The terminal has reached almost 515.000 passengers onboard 202 calls from several Cruise Lines. Most of them were regular lines like MSC Pullmantur Croisière de France Aida Cruises Holland America Line; Norwegian Cruise Lines was a new line that has called for the first time at the port; And Costa Cruises was an old friend who has made its come-back to the port after 2 years of absence.
In 2013 Goulette Shipping Cruise tried to get closer to the cruise lines. The terminal attended the most important conventions of the cruise industry (Seatrade Europe in Hamburg and Miami Cruise Shipping Convention the General Assembly of the MedCruise Association in Alanya) in order to meet different cruise line managers to discuss cruise destination issues and think about possible solutions. The terminal organized special ceremonies on the honor of the regular ships’ Captains to thank them for their trust and fidelity.
The terminal has worked also on cruise passengers satisfaction and has tried to improve the passenger service quality offered inside the port (rethinking the direction signals inside the port to help people finding their way easily distributing to the passengers new flyers “call guide” to give them full information training the whole Terminal staff in communication and safety to be as helpful as possible doing passenger satisfaction survey to always have a feed- back from them).
In 2014 the Cruise Terminal is expecting a better season with more calls (about 250) and more passengers (600.000 passengers) already programmed.
An expected combined promotional effort between Tunisian Tourism Culture and Port authorities will out of doubt give a priceless hand to the cruise terminal for the promotion of the cruise destination.
