Funchal, 14 March 2016. The Madeiran player Cristiano Ronaldo promotes, again, in his social networks, the Madeira Islands, this time highlighting the Cruise tourism and appealing to cruise passengers to visit Madeira through our port.
Cristiano Ronaldo posted on his social networks (Facebook and Instagram), another message to promote Madeira, this time, with a new perspective: describes the arrival at the beautiful bay of Funchal aboard a cruise ship, as an experience not to miss.
An innovative message never done before, clearly addressed to cruise tourists, to promote this important market segment which has been increasing awareness and positioning of Madeira and its main port, regarding this activity.
Preceding the world’s largest cruise fair, Seatrade, which runs from 14 to 17 march on Fort Lauderdale, and where Madeira ports (APRAM) will be represented once again, as well as leading regional companies with activity in this sector, this is, without doubt, an important contribution to increase its reputation among tourists who choose cruise ships as their way of travel.
It is recalled that the port of Funchal surpassed last year, half a million passengers, over 308 scales, recovering the national leadership in the cruise market.
This initiative is a result of the partnership between the Regional Secretariat for the Economy, Tourism and Culture, through the Madeira Promotion Bureau and the player Cristiano Ronaldo. A partnership aimed essentially to increase awareness of the destination and this time covers our cruise activity and comes in the wake of the cooperation between the Madeira Promotion Bureau and APRAM.
