On 28th October, La Palma Port proudly welcomed Mein Schiff 7 from TUI Cruises on its inaugural visit. This remarkable cruise ship, delivered in 2024, embodies the latest in innovation and sustainability, designed to operate on low-emission marine diesel and prepared for future methanol use, aiming to significantly reduce its carbon footprint.
During a commemorative plaque exchange ceremony hosted by Greek Captain Georgio Di Mou and his crew, Jorge Amado, Head of La Palma Port Area, presented a plaque to mark this special occasion. The day was particularly lively, with the Spirit of Discovery and Artania cruise ships also in port.
The Port Authority had the opportunity to tour Mein Schiff 7’s impressive facilities, including diverse dining options, a smoke-free casino, and a 25-metre pool. The Port of La Palma extends its gratitude to Captain Di Mou, his crew, and the local ship agency for their hospitality and seamless coordination.
