The Porto Cruise Terminal has dressed up to welcome AIDAsol passengers and crew on Valentine’s Day. It was a very important cruise call for Leixões as it was the first one after new government regulations allowing the embarkation, disembarkation and land licenses of passengers and crew of cruise ships in mainland national ports without the requirement to present a negative COVID-19 test result taken before arrival.

AIDAsol was on her 43-day round trip ‘Big winter break Caribbean’. The itinerary started on 7 January in Hamburg and ends on 19 February also in Hamburg.

Besides the exotic Caribbean, AIDAsol visited Portsmouth, La Coruña, Tenerife, Terceira and S. Miguel islands and also Lisbon. Last call is it at Rotterdam.

She was sailing with 1.005 passengers on board, mainly of German nationality and also with 680 crew members. During the day, all passengers had the opportunity to visit Porto and the North of Portugal Region celebrating the Valentine’s Day with us.

The ship was built in 2011 to be operated by the prestigious German cruise line AIDA CRUISES. It is 253 meters long and can accommodate around 2.200 passengers on board.
