There will be more than 100 ships calling at Elba in 2014 with more than 30.000 passengers.
The new ships that have chosen Portoferraio as a port of call include Star Pride Europa 2 Costa Neo Riviera and Louis Aura. Elba is in fact a perfect choice especially for those ships that go to Livorno and Civitavecchia being a relaxing stopover between the two large ports where there are long and intense tours.
Over and above this 2014 sees the celebrations of the bicentenary of Napoleon on the island of Elba and many events have been organised to recall the 10 months the Emperor spent on the island.
