Turkish Ports are more attractive thanks to intensive efforts made by Turkish Cruise Sector. Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication announced amendment on the obligatory tug boat regulations.
According to this amendment if the ship authorities declare the documents regarding the bow stern thrusters or system stating that these systems are working with full capacity the ship is not obliged to request towing boats.
With this change Cruise lines will benefit millions of dollars (15 million USD in 2015 figures).
