There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has marginally shifted our priorities in our lives. In this respect, Health, Safety and Security (HSS) matters have become the highest priorities in our ports and organizations. However, we all have witnessed that stand-alone HSS practices of different ports, stakeholders, institutions and destinations have created great confusion and challenge in the industry. In this respect, MedCruise has decided to initiate a new Health, Safety and Security task with the mission of creating connected port communities that continuously collaborate and interact with each other and other cruise industry stakeholders including related HSS Institutions and local authorities. This brand new task is committed to promoting a culture that puts health, safety and security at one of the vital pillars of MedCruise activities and to continue assisting the improvement and alignment of Health, Safety and Security practices currently in force. And, as the Director of this new task, I am truly excited to allocate all my time and efforts to support that path.
