Haifa Port – The perfect Gateway to the Holy Land.
Haifa Port is the largest, leading port in Israel. Besides the millions of tons of cargo, the port is also visited each year by dozens of cruise ships. It is the only turnaround port in Israel– both for Israelis and for tourists arriving in Israel from all corners of the globe.
In the coming years the central area of the Port bordering on Downtown Haifa will gradually be transformed into a waterfront open to the general public for leisure, cultural events and entertainment.
Israel is very attractive in term of excursions and the penetration rate is one of the highest in the world. We had cruise lines in 2019 that reached 70+% of passengers that takes excursions from the ship when calling Haifa. Itineraries that included an overnight in Israel benefitted the most, in addition to Jerusalem, the excursions to the north part of Israel, visit the Jordan River, Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee are as popular.
