About Las Palmas Ports

The Port Authority of Las Palmas manages five ports and a marina in the Canary Islands.

  • Gran Canaria has three ports, but only one receives cruise ships: Las Palmas Port.
  • Arrecife Port in Lanzarote Island, the unique island declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco in 1993 and the first destination in the world to receive Biosphere Responsible Tourism certification in 2015.
  • Puerto del Rosario Port in Fuerteventura Island, the beach of the Canaries, a paradise with over 150km of beaches of white sand and turquoise waters.

Las Palmas Port is next to one of the nation’s best urban beaches, blessed with fine weather almost all year round. This jewel in the city is Playa de Las Canteras. It is a long strip of sand that stretches for miles along the bay, a place of special charm you will find only 3 or 4 blocks along from the cruise terminal.

Lanzarote is different than other sun and sea destinations. It’s an island where nature and art prevail. A place where the people are as warm as they are active and proud. Where the food tastes of the sea and the earth. Where the essence of the island leaves a mark on your soul long after you depart. That’s the Lanzarote Effect.

In Fuerteventura you can discover vast natural landscapes and experience the open character of the local people. An Island where you can practice a host activity Gran Canaria in optimal conditions.

Although you may only have a few hours, Fuerteventura has routes for cruise passengers tailored to enthusiasts of history, culture and in particular nature; a great opportunity to discover the beauty this island offers before returning to your ship with a smile on your face.

The Canary Islands ports have been the first ports in the world to welcome cruise passengers after the global pandemic. Since November 2020 several cruise lines have been cruising successfully under strict safety conditions, on 7- and 14-days itineraries around the Islands.
